Overview
The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Speechify’s text-to-speech products help users turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio so they can read faster, read more, and remember more. Our products include an iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Speechify has been recognized with awards and operates with a 100% distributed team.
What You’ll Do
- Pitch, prototype, test, build, ship, and refine new features
- Refine UX/UI patterns across our iOS and Android apps
- Rethink onboarding and core user flows
- Influence the product roadmap
- Refine processes and help shape the design org
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
- Experience: Demonstrated work including research, discovery, prototyping, and delivery of consumer-facing products across multiple platforms
- Product thinking: Ability to articulate strategy and what/why as well as how; comfortable with analytics; able to partner with PMs to identify opportunities
- Customer-centricity: Comfortable talking with customers and using their feedback in the design process
- Collaboration: Able to inspire, collaborate with, and negotiate with PMs, engineers, and executives
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication; attention to detail in writing as in design
- Focus: Comfortable working in a high-growth, remote-startup environment
