Would you like to be part of a small, friendly team of Speech and Language Therapists working in schools across Kent? Are you ready to try a new way of working that gives you control, flexibility, and support – without the pressure of strict care pathways or chasing new clients?

Speech4Schools is expanding and looking for passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapists to join our team on a self-employed basis. We have work available in Medway, Gravesham, Dartford, Bexley, and Broadstairs, with potential for regular days in one school or a varied caseload across several settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy programmes based on individual child needs.
  • Monitor child progress and collaborate with school staff.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of child assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with minimum 2 years experience.
  • Experience working with children in school settings is preferable.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Passionate about child-centred, collaborative, and flexible therapy approaches.
  • Able to manage own schedule and paperwork as an independent contractor.
  • Own transport and willingness to travel to schools in the listed areas.
