Role Brief: We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners (GPs) to join our remote healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality virtual consultations to patients across the UK, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. Please note that this role requires a minimum commitment of 4 sessions per week.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Consultations: Provide remote consultations via video, phone, or secure messaging platforms. Diagnose, manage, and treat a range of medical conditions within the scope of primary care. Prescribe medications and provide appropriate health advice. Deliver preventative health services, including health screenings and lifestyle advice.
- Collaboration & Referrals: Liaise with other healthcare professionals and services, ensuring seamless patient care. Refer patients for specialist investigations or secondary care when clinically indicated. Work collaboratively with third-party healthcare providers to maintain service consistency.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to GMC guidelines and clinical governance standards. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR). Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and clinical reviews.
- Patient Advocacy: Promote patient-centred care by actively involving patients in decision-making. Support patients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing appropriate services.
- Training & Development: Participate in regular training sessions, CPD activities, and peer reviews. Stay updated on advancements in telemedicine and digital healthcare.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid license to practice.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in general practice.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in primary care.
- Experience or interest in digital healthcare/telemedicine is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
Desirable:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a high volume of patient interactions.
- Familiarity with remote healthcare systems and their integration into patient pathways.
