This role would suit someone whose main focus is C or C++ software development, particularly in multithreaded or high-performance systems.
The Role
You'll develop, integrate and optimise software that supports the company's 5G NR Physical Layer (PHY) technology. Working with software, hardware, architecture and system-test teams, you'll tackle performance challenges and help build reliable software for a demanding technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop C/C++ software used to run and test 5G NR PHY algorithms
- Improve software performance through optimisation and multithreading
- Integrate software components and help resolve complex technical issues
- Develop and maintain automated testing and CI processes
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture and system-test teams
- Support interoperability testing with customers, vendors and operators
- Contribute to technical reviews and wider software engineering decisions
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong commercial experience developing software in C or C++
- Solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with multithreaded or high-performance software
- An interest in solving complex performance and optimisation challenges
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SIMD or hardware acceleration
- An understanding of signal processing
- Exposure to 5G, O-RAN or fronthaul protocols such as eCPRI
