Our client is seeking an experienced Core Network Engineer to join their team and support the design, deployment, and management of their full-fibre broadband network across the South of England.
Based in Portsmouth with travel to data centres and network sites as needed, you will:
Configure and manage Layer 2 and 3 network elements (routers, switches, CGNAT, firewalls/VPNs, OLTs).
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, resolving issues effectively.
Maintain network documentation and best practices.
5+ years of network engineering experience in an ISP environment.
~ Deep knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, EVPN, MPLS, VXLAN, CGNAT, DHCP, DNS, and GPON networks.
~ Experience with FTTH platforms, particularly OLTs.
~ Strong troubleshooting and network performance skills.
~ Valid UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
