Job Description Systems Development Manager / Engineering Lead \C#, .Net, SQL, Azure, CRM, (AI Savvy)\n Technical + Team Management \n Hybrid / Remote - 1-2 days a week onsite in Portsmouth/Fareham area. \We are looking for an experienced Systems Development Manager to join an ambitious and successful SaaS tech business based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. \This role combines hands-on software engineering with team leadership, technical direction and delivery ownership. \You will lead and support a 6-person team (3 developers, 3 support engineers), helping to improve engineering practices, remove technical blockers and ensure high-quality delivery of software solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to shape priorities, manage technical decisions and deliver projects that support business objectives. \Lead, mentor and support a team of software engineers, encouraging best practice and continuous improvement. \Software development - contribute to code quality, architectural decisions, integrations, technical reviews and solution design. \Support delivery of projects from concept through to implementation, managing priorities, risks and dependencies. \Improve development processes, tooling and engineering standards. \Champion Agile ways of working and support effective team collaboration. \Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams. \Recent hands-on development experience with C# / .NET. \Understanding of software architecture, APIs and scalable systems. \Experience delivering projects within Agile environments. \CI/CD and DevOps practices. \
