Job Description \n A global technology business is looking for a Senior Windows Server Administrator to become the go-to escalation point for complex Wintel infrastructure issues. \You will be joining a business with a sizeable, established technology environment and current projects including a move from VMware towards Azure Local, alongside wider infrastructure integration work across newly acquired sites. \n The role is based in Southampton and is office based. Senior Windows Server Administrator Location: Southampton, office based \n 12 Month Fixed Term Contract \n You will take ownership of complex Windows Server and infrastructure challenges, supporting a broad environment covering server, virtualisation, storage, file, email and collaboration technologies. You will be expected to understand how systems fit together, diagnose issues under pressure, explain your thinking clearly, and help less experienced administrators develop their own technical capability. \Lead troubleshooting across Windows Server environments \n Support projects involving virtualisation and hyper-converged infrastructure \n Contribute to the move from VMware towards Azure Local \n Work across technologies including server, storage, file, email and collaboration systems \n Help define technical priorities, improvements and roadmap activity \n Mentor other IT Administrators within the team \n Support security, resilience, capacity and regulatory requirements \n n The most important requirements are strong Windows Server experience and excellent troubleshooting ability. You should be confident investigating issues properly, using tools such as event logs, understanding areas such as Active Directory, Group Policy, replication, certificates and wider infrastructure dependencies. \VMware, Hyper-V or Azure Local \n SCCM / MECM \n Zabbix or other enterprise monitoring tools \n Agile working environments \n You will need to be able to travel within Europe without restriction when required.
