Electronic Engineer required by an established company developing high-tech products located in Poole.
The Electronic Engineer is likely to have a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering and commercial experience in electronic hardware and/or system design. Altium Designer experience is preferred.
The Electronic Engineer will be responsible for
- Working with product managers to refine new product development goals and specifications.
- Developing and designing hardware solutions to meet required specifications.
- The creation of schematic designs and PCB layout for complex SoC based systems.
- Ensuring designs are optimised for performance, manufacturability and cost.
- Developing test plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participating / leading design reviews
- Ensuring design solutions are robust and reliable by using appropriate tools and techniques for testing, validation and documentation
Key Experience
- Proven commercial experience in electronic hardware and / or system design.
- Development of embedded single board computers – ideally NXP i.MX family SoCs or similar
- EMC testing
- PCB design – ideally using Altium
- Digital and/or analogue design
- Hardware integration
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
- Sensor integration
- Any software development knowledge – C/C++, Python etc
