Hybrid Working – 3 days per week in the Southampton office

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

An award-winning software and tech company is looking for a talented Software Developer to work within their development team. Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions.
• Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles.
• Identify and correct software issues within the code while triaging.
• Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
• Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges.
• Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans.
• Provide on-call (after hours) support for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Skills Required:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.
• 3-6 years’ experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment.
• Experience in Delphi, SQL, and some C#.
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
• Experience in using an issue tracking system is a plus.
