The Role
As a Senior Cloud Database Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of critical database environments in a 24/7 cloud-first ecosystem. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be trusted to optimise, innovate, and continuously improve systems that simply cannot fail.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and optimising high-availability SQL Server environments
- Driving database performance tuning and system efficiency
- Owning backup, recovery, and disaster resilience strategies
- Implementing and maintaining robust database security practices
- Supporting real-time, high-volume data systems
- Collaborating across engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
What you'll bring
- Strong experience managing mission-critical SQL Server databases
- Advanced T-SQL expertise
- Proven experience with replication and high availability (Availability Groups)
