Spectrum IT's national client are actively seeking an experienced Contract IT Support Engineer to join them on an initial 1 month rolling contract. The role has been deemed Inside IR35 and will be office based 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) at our client's Leeds City Centre Office. Being able to travel/commute to Leeds City Centre daily is a MUST for this role.
Role:
- Work closely and collaborate with the local management onsite to deliver the best possible service.
- Support the satellite offices/sites (existing and new).
- Monitor and identify any trends, problems or reoccurring issues logged with the IT Support Team and escalate these as appropriate.
- Assist and support other IT Support Engineers with incident escalations and problems through to resolution; providing training and supporting documentation where appropriate.
- Provide an efficient technical support service for all IT devices and ensure software and equipment is always completely functional and optimised.
- Actively look for ways to improve service and implement if appropriate or bring service improvement proposals to the attention of their Line manager.
- Provide IT support and guidance on software and equipment including BYOD for all customers to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain, support and test PCs, Applications, MS Updates/Patches, visualisers, data projectors, smartboards, conference phones including video conference equipment, webcams, MFDs, printers and any other technical equipment and peripherals.
- Use Active Directory and remote software monitoring tools to support all staff.
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Thin Client technology using Citrix Director and Stratodesk.
- Creating and managing images in SCCM/Intune.
- Installation and troubleshooting of remote access solutions using Cisco VPN or Citrix.
Skills & Experience:
- Imaging and deployment of technologies for Windows 10/11.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Windows 11.
- IT support experience at a 2nd Line Level.
- 2FA experience.
- SCCM/Intune.
- Managing Group policy.
- Windows Server.
- Active Directory management.
- IP address management through DNS & DHCP.
- Group Policy Management.
- Virtualisation technology, Hyper-V, or VMware.
