I am recruiting for a rapidly growing, multi-site healthcare organisation in the middle of a major digital transformation. As their Data & Business Intelligence function continues to expand, they require a Senior / Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of the Azure migration and enterprise integration strategy.
You will be joining at a pivotal time as the business migrates to Azure, modernises its data platform, and connects a complex ecosystem of finance, HR, and core operational systems. The role comes with strong visibility across the business and regular interaction with the senior leadership team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Hands-on Azure cloud experience in production environments
- Experience contributing to or leading an Azure cloud data migration
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills
- Proven experience building and owning data lakes, warehouses, or lakehouse platforms
- Hands-on experience with ETL / ELT pipelines (batch and/or near real-time)
- Experience building system-to-system integrations (HR, Finance, ERP, CRM, or operational systems)
- Solid understanding of APIs, integration patterns, monitoring, and error handling
- Experience with data governance, security, and access controls
- Able to work closely with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset - you prioritise outcomes over perfection
Package & Working Pattern
- Up to £85,000 inc benefits - DOE
- Remote / Hybrid working: Basingstoke, 2 days a month onsite.
- Two-stage interview process (online followed by on-site with the leadership team)
