We’re looking for a Billing Manager to lead our billing, payments, and revenue assurance processes. In this newly created role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate billing, safeguarding revenue, and driving improvements across systems and processes. You’ll work closely with internal teams to address billing queries and contribute to enhancing the customer experience. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for improving processes and delivering great outcomes, whether through direct experience or transferable skills. About you… We understand that you may not have held this exact role before, but we’re looking for someone who can contribute to refining processes and delivering seamless, customer-focused services. This is a hands-on position where you’ll have the chance to take ownership of important areas like billing, payments, debt management, and revenue assurance, supporting both consumer and business customers. In terms of background/attributes we’re looking for someone with – * Experience managing billing processes or similar for both consumer and business customers. * Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from data to drive operational improvements. * Knowledge of payment services, including managing debt collection processes and working with internal teams to resolve disputes. * Some knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as BACS, Ofcom, and HMRC guidelines. * Proven ability to lead business improvements and deliver operational excellence across a growing organisation. * Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence change. What you’ll be doing… This role sits within our Customer Operations function but works closely with Finance and other teams across the business to deliver seamless, reliable, and customer-focused billing processes while keeping an eye on efficiency and innovation. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our systems and processes are efficient, compliant, and continually improving to meet the needs of our growing organisation. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary however will include: * End-to-end ownership of the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely bills for both residential and business customers. * Managing billing queries and disputes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance customer communication. * Driving revenue assurance, identifying areas of risk, implementing controls, and minimising revenue leakage. * Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including BACS, Ofcom, and HMRC guidelines. * Working with the finance team on debt management, aged debt reporting, and payment allocation to ensure accurate ledgers. * Maintaining and updating customer information across multiple systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes, implement new systems, and support business growth. * Managing key projects, including system upgrades and process improvements to optimise billing and payment systems. * Defining KPIs and driving operational improvements to achieve excellence in performance and efficiency.
