BE THE DIFFERENCE IN HEALTHCARE
This is a lone working post without direct supervision. The role involves providing a comprehensive physical health service as part of the Multi‑Disciplinary Team to patients with physical health needs within Health & Justice. In conjunction with the management team, you will contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Primary Health Service in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team within the prison setting.
You will undertake health assessments, administer medication and treatments, perform diagnostic tests, and provide and evaluate a range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs. The post holder will assess individuals that come in and out of the Short Term Holding Facility, demonstrating knowledge of health issues, treatment options, and a keen interest in developing skills across integrated services. Flexible working across the service is required for responsive, evidence‑based interventions, and you are expected to operate in line with our shared commitment to Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion, and Innovation.
