We have an exciting opportunity for a People and Culture Advisor, or an aspiring People and Culture Advisor, to join our People and Culture Team, based at our offices in Wakefield.

You will be part CIPD qualified, or working towards this, coupled with experience of providing HR advice in a busy work environment.

This position may also serve as a development opportunity for aspiring candidates seeking to advance their careers in HR and progress into a Band 5 role. Applicants should hold a diploma-level qualification and have some experience in providing HR advice and/or support within a busy work environment. The successful candidate will benefit from structured support and development to build the skills and experience necessary for progression to Band 5.

The role will be based at our offices in Wakefield, but will include travel to sites as needed, including attending meetings in secure environments e.g., HM Prisons. We are happy to consider hybrid working (e.g. part homeworking and part based at sites/Wakefield office) after an induction and settling in period.

You may have previous NHS experience but crucial to this role will be the ability to provide good quality HR advice and build effective and supportive working relationships with a wide range of managers.

The role will provide professional HR advice, guidance and coaching to managers in accordance with Spectrum’s policies, employment legislation, ACAS codes of practice and other professional standards. HR advice will be in a on a wide range of people issues, including terms and conditions of employment, conduct, performance management, grievances and absence.
