Are you a dedicated HCP looking for a new challenge within a diverse, community setting? The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

Main duties of the job

The role includes nurse and healthcare professional led clinics, administering medication and treatments, emergency response, triage, wound care, examinations, and referrals. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team. You must have sound nursing knowledge, lots of valuable experience and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Person Specification

Education and Training

  • Qualified Paramedic with current HCPC registration
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Teaching and assessing qualification

Knowledge

  • Experience including evidence of working in any of these following clinical areas: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, Minor Injuries / Illness Units
  • Knowledge of current healthcare issues
  • Knowledge of clinical governance audit, risk management and quality agenda
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
  • Competent in clinical practice e.g., phlebotomy, ECG monitoring
  • Experience of working within a Health & Justice environment
  • Experience of health needs assessment/Triage
  • Working to Patient Group Directives

Skills

  • Able to work autonomously and part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and that of other staff
  • Ability to work in a challenging and diverse environment
  • Keyboard skills - computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to maintain contemporaneous clinical records following clinical activities
  • Extended scope of practice e.g. wound closure/ cannulation/ managing minor illness and injury
  • Experience of using SystmOne or willing to undertake training
  • Evidence of knowledge in: current professional issues, health promotion, clinical governance, national initiatives e.g., NICE guidelines, knowledge of National Health Service Framework issues, pharmacology, evidence based practice, Standard for Better Health
  • Experience of working in criminal justice setting
