Responsibilities

  • Shift coordination – overseeing staffing levels and production of rotas.
  • Participating in audits
  • Management of junior members of staff
  • Supporting multi‑disciplinary teams such as: Diabetic retinopathy screening, AAA screening, Ultrasounds and X‑Rays, Medication rounds and dispensing, Emergency response situations, Patient assessments
  • Nurse‑led clinics, such as: NHS Health Checks, Immunisations and Vaccinations, NHS Bowel Screening, Phlebotomy clinics, Wound and Tissue Viability assessments
  • Assessing new patients who have just arrived at the establishment for the first time.
  • Complete clinical assessments
  • Triaging the acutely unwell patients
