The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The post holder will be responsible for identifying, supporting and delivering interventions to those who highlight they have been a victim of domestic abuse. The post holder will be required to have a high level of relevant knowledge and skills, which you will use to manage, develop and care for our patients with complex vulnerabilities in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team. They will provide specialist advice and support to staff as required and will be responsible for developing and providing training on the management of domestic abuse. They will be required to work in partnership with the specialist domestic violence and abuse sector. The post holder will constantly strive to improve individual patients and their family and carers experience through the sharing of best practice and the measurement of standards of care in domestic abuse.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and be a proactive role‑model in the clinical environment leading practice development and professional development relating to domestic and sexual abuse.
- Develop and expand learning and education resources for clinical teams relating to domestic and sexual abuse aligned with national best practices.
- Provide leadership, advice and support which is evidence based, and fosters a learning culture which values and responds to the needs of survivors of domestic abuse.
- Work in partnership with the prison and community multi-disciplinary teams to achieve agreed, common goals/outcomes in ensuring awareness of domestic and sexual abuse remains a high profile within all clinical activity in the trust and in ensuring highest standards of care are maintained.
- Continue to work with key clinicians in the ongoing development of educational initiatives and changes in clinical practice focusing on improving the experiences of survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
- Continue to build on networks across professional boundaries locally to develop, inform and share best practice in domestic and sexual abuse including key charity organisations.
