The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
We are a small practice service with approximately 5,200 patients located in the area of Airedale, Castleford. Our clinical team currently consists of GPs, an in‑house Clinical Pharmacist, an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a lead Nurse, two experienced Practice Nurses, one Nurse Associate and a Health Care Support Assistant. The nursing team are highly qualified and provide general and specialist nursing services supported by a friendly and efficient administrative and management team. We are part of a forward‑thinking and well‑functioning Primary Care Network, Wakefield North PCN, which provides excellent visiting services, an Enhanced Care Team, and access to Sonographers, Mental Health Practitioners and a Pharmacist. In addition, our organisation offers comprehensive support across finance, people and culture, nursing and quality, digital, IT and performance.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Lead GP will become an integral leader of our well‑established practice team, demonstrating a passion for high‑quality clinical practice, a commitment to patient care and a drive for continual improvement. The role requires a forward‑thinking, business‑oriented individual with a deep commitment to our practice ethos and the ability to drive clinical excellence. The GP will be part of the wider clinical team responsible for medical services for the practice population, ensuring compliance with contract requirements in close partnership with the PCN. The postholder will adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice and will be responsible for the effectiveness of the practice, working with the Medical Director and maintaining a positive collaborative relationship with fellow GPs and the multidisciplinary team. Successful applicants must have full GMC registration, a licence to practise, entry on the GP Register, and be eligible for inclusion on a Medical Performers List. We are looking for patient‑centred clinicians with proven ability to manage a busy and varied primary care caseload and respond flexibly to workload fluctuations.
