Our Home & Personal Care (HPC) division is home to iconic global brands including Remington, Russell Hobbs and George Foreman trusted by millions of consumers worldwide. This is a consumer product marketing role within our Global Product Marketing Team, focused on innovation, range development, and new product delivery. We are specifically seeking candidates with hands‑on experience developing physical consumer products within FMCG or consumer goods environments.
Please note: Experience limited to brand marketing, trade marketing, or product management within Tech, IT, or Financial Services will not be considered suitable for this role.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Fabric Care category at a global level, owning key innovation projects across our 2027–2028 product roadmaps. Based at our Manchester headquarters, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping future product ranges, working cross‑functionally with NPD, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and regional marketing teams to bring consumer‑led innovation to market across Russell Hobbs and Black+Decker brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a rolling 3‑year global product roadmap, aligned to brand strategy and category growth.
- Use consumer, market, and trend insights to identify and justify innovation and range opportunities.
- Lead projects through the Spectrum Brands NPD Stage Gate process, ensuring delivery against time, cost, and quality targets.
- Influence and align senior stakeholders across global functions, demonstrating clear leadership and persuasion.
- Partner with Brand and Legal teams on product naming, positioning, and claims.
- Oversee packaging development, marketing assets, and sales support tools to ensure best‑in‑class execution.
- Present new product launches to global commercial teams, driving engagement and buy‑in.
About you
- We’re looking for candidates who lead with product, not brand‑only marketing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in consumer product marketing within FMCG or consumer goods.
- Proven track record of leading NPD from concept to launch.
- Demonstrable experience influencing cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong project management, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable operating at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; proactive, flexible, and collaborative.
- Experience within Small Domestic Appliances, Consumer Electronics, or FMCG.
- Exposure to global teams (e.g. US, China).
- Experience managing innovation pipelines or category roadmaps.
