Spectrum Brands EMEA UK is hiring! We are recruiting a Junior Product Marketing Manager to assist in developing product strategies for our toy product ranges. This role will also support the end-to-end management of products, contributing innovative ideas and ensuring the product-market fit aligns with the goals of the Marketing and Innovation team.
Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, the Junior Product Marketing Manager focuses on supporting product development and lifecycle management. The role will work closely with the Product Manager, collaborating with a number of teams to ensure brand and product success throughout the product life cycle.
About the Role: In this role, you will play a key part in delivering fun and engaging toys for both pets and their owners, all while meeting the business’s goals. You will work cross-functionally with commercial and operations teams, ensuring that products are developed and delivered on time and to the highest standards. Your ability to collaborate, manage projects, and stay on top of market trends will be essential to the success of the product ranges and the overall business.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with developing product ranges that are commercially viable and meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including category, sales, brand, project management, regulatory, supply and procurement.
- Assist local Trade Marketing teams to execute successful campaigns.
- Assist with analysis of customer insights, competitor activity and market trends to guide product development decisions.
- Support the Product Marketing Manager in range planning and strategy.
- Assist with the development and management of product P&L to ensure margin targets are met.
- Support tracking of budgeted spend, ensuring effective allocation.
- Work closely with external stakeholders such as agencies, customers and suppliers to ensure smooth product launches.
- Assist with management of the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
About You: You will be passionate about the pet category and thrive in delivering successful product ranges. A creative and analytical thinker, with the ability to balance both, to deliver data-driven decisions and consumer appealing ranges. You have an eye for detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in your work. An organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Key Skills & experience:- Business studies or Marketing qualification or be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience.
- 2 years of marketing experience would be desirable.
- Understanding of the product life cycle.
- Ability to prioritize features and tasks based on business needs, customer demands and resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience within the pet industry or FMCG advantageous.
- Occasional travel will be required within the UK and Europe. You will have a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
