We\'re offering a rare opportunity to join our dynamic PAS team as a Project Lead, where you\'ll take ownership of a portfolio of commercial engineering projects. In this pivotal role, you will balance project management with engineering to ensure that all project requirements are met, safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of engineering, quality, time, and cost. You\'ll be instrumental in driving innovation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions from concept through to detailed execution. As a PAS Project Lead, you\'ll help shape the future of process automation by fostering excellence across engineering disciplines and championing smart, forward-thinking design.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial engineering projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and safety/compliance standards.
- Drive innovative design from concept through detailed realization while maintaining technical quality and budget alignment.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and document projects fully, including tracking time, cost, and performance to enable continuous improvement.
- Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, operations, service teams, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and seamless delivery.
- Oversee order entry, scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and testing (including Factory Acceptance Tests) to meet delivery, cost, and quality requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of procedures, facilities, and the PAS product portfolio while working in accordance with company processes and standards.
- 5 years\' experience in industrial automation, control and instrumentation.
Qualifications
- HNC or above in an engineering discipline.
- You will be a member of a relevant project management professional institution, preferably backed up with formal project management training.
- Extensive commercial awareness and experience within a commercial project engineering organisation.
- Understanding of engineering processes over a broad range of disciplines in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Working knowledge of engineering design tools and systems (e.g. CAD).
- Validation experience in the pharmaceutical, hazardous area (ATEX) or similar regulated industries is desirable.
- Hands-on, practical manufacturing, installation and commissioning experience is required, alongside familiarity with industrial site work and the safe and skilled use of hand tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise software systems e.g. SAP, Sharepoint, Office 365, CRM, etc.
