We are seeking a highly skilled Toolmaker to join our team at Don Green Engineering in St Marys, NSW. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, and other specialised equipment used in our production processes. This is a full-time, permanent role that will support the continued growth and success of our engineering firm.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, fabricating, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and other specialised equipment
- Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop technical drawings and specifications
- Operating a variety of metalworking machines and equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and welding machines
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues with existing tooling and equipment
- Collaborating with production teams to ensure tools and equipment meet quality standards and production needs
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all tooling and equipment
- Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members
What we're looking for:
- Completed trade qualification in Toolmaking or a related engineering discipline
- Proficient in the use of CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, and other metalworking equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with CAD software is highly regarded
