Toolmaker

About the role We are seeking a highly skilled Toolmaker to join our team at Don Green Engineering in St Marys, NSW. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, and other specialised equipment used in our production processes. This is a full-time, permanent role that will support the continued growth and success of our engineering firm. What you\’ll be doing Designing, fabricating, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and other specialised equipment Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop technical drawings and specifications Operating a variety of metalworking machines and equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and welding machines Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues with existing tooling and equipment Collaborating with production teams to ensure tools and equipment meet quality standards and production needs Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all tooling and equipment Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members What we\’re looking for Completed trade qualification in Toolmaking or a related engineering discipline Proficient in the use of CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, and other metalworking equipment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Experience with CAD software is highly regarded What we offer At Don Green Engineering, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
