Are you ready to take your skills on the road? As a Home Visits Optical Assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that. If you love your job but are a bit bored, if you love working with patients but want a new challenge, then this role might be for you. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.
We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant, who can confidently dispense at all levels, measure and fit and you must hold a full UK driving licence. You will also need to be computer literate and be able to confidently work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively. You will be working in and around Southampton, however, our region covers Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Waterlooville and Isle of Wight areas and there will be a requirement to cover anywhere within this territory, when required.
With more 1-on-1 time spent with patients in the place where they feel comfortable, you can really cater to their needs and make a real difference in their lives.
What’s on offer?
- Full-time: 5 days per week 8.30am-5.30pm (flexibility required)
- Salary £27,000 per annum

What we’re looking for?
- Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
- You must hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver
- Computer literate and confident using laptop/tablet and mobile phone
