Specsavers Sale opened its doors over 33 years ago and is the largest out of the three, boasting 6 test rooms and benefiting from a full refresh at the beginning of this year. Altrincham opened 30 years ago and sits with 3 test rooms and has an ideal location on the main high street. Urmston is the newest of the stores opening 6 years and operates with 3 test rooms located over 2 floors. All the stores benefit from a long-standing customer base, strong contact lens direct debit and a long-standing team. You will find a dedicated team of over 50 colleagues across the three stores.
LocationSale is the largest of the three stores and located in a shopping centre location, ensuring regular high foot fall. The area has recently undergone a regeneration and benefits from a large amount of new shopping outlets, restaurants and coffee shops all close by, as well as a luxury independent cinema too. Altrincham & Urmston are both located on affluent high streets, with parking close by and easy links to and from the city centre and surrounding areas.
TeamOver 50 full and part time colleagues call these stores home, with the resource split between the 3. There is a large focus on enhanced services, with 4 out of the 12 residents optoms being IP qualified. Sale is top in the region for its EOS services and competes 70% of the referrals for the area. You will find a strong management team in place, with regular training, incentives and progression available. The stores culture is family based, with regular team building events, days away and team dinners. The new partner would need to be willing to embrace the development of the team and continue to build on years of hard work already invested.
Requirements of the roleYou will be an experienced leader with a strong background in retail, people and management. You will also have experience of working across multiple sites. You will have the drive, passion, and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Retail Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
