Specsavers is built on community spirit, genuine care, and the belief that everyone deserves access to better sight and hearing. We’re looking for a confident, outgoing Community Champion to represent our Headford Road store, Galway — someone who thrives on meeting people, building relationships, and bringing our values to life across both communities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building strong connections with local groups, schools, charities, and organisations.
- Planning and delivering community events, health awareness activities, and outreach programmes.
- Acting as a warm, proactive ambassador for both stores — someone who enjoys starting conversations and opening doors.
- Identifying opportunities to raise awareness of eye and hearing health and turning those opportunities into meaningful action.
- Creating engaging stories and updates for social media and local press to highlight your community impact.
- Supporting the instore teams by bringing in new partnerships and engagement opportunities.

- Someone who enjoys being out in the community and is equally comfortable working independently from home.
- A self-starter who’s motivated, persistent, and comfortable taking the lead on outreach activities.
- Strong communication skills — both face-to-face and over the phone — with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
- Resilience, enthusiasm, and the drive to keep going even when plans change or challenges pop up.
- Solid organisational skills to manage multiple projects across two locations.
- A full driving licence.
