Are you ready to take your skills on the road? As a Home Visits Optical Assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant, who has some supervisory or management experience within optics for this role. You will need to be able to confidently dispense at all levels, measure and fit and hold a full UK driving licence. You will also need to be computer literate and be able to confidently work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively.

Our region covers the Isle of Wight and we are looking for someone who is based on the island due to travel distances and times. With more 1-on-1 time spent with patients in the place where they feel comfortable, you can really cater to their needs and make a real difference in their lives.

What we’re looking for?
If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant. These include:

  • Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months‑1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
  • Current or recent senior/supervisory/management experience within optics
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver
  • Must be based on Isle of Wight

If you’ve got all these skills, we’d love for you to apply, but there’s also some desirable experience that could set you apart from the competition if you have it:
