Location: Southampton - Totton

Salary: Up to £70,000 + bonus and benefits

Working hours: Full time or part time with weekend flexibility and no late nights

We have an excellent opportunity for a driven Optometrist to join our thriving Southampton- Totton store. You will join a highly successful and energetic team who work together to ensure our patients receive an excellent experience and you will also benefit from an engaging, supportive, and approachable leadership team. Our store has 3 optical test rooms and is fully equipped with the latest clinical equipment and technology including OCT and Nidek Phoropters.

We are looking for an Optometrist who is a team player and someone who can adapt well in a busy store. We are passionate about the clinical and professional development of our team, and as our new Optometrist we want to support you every step of the way. There are so many areas to explore; The Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) as well as extra courses and specialisms that interest you. There are currently 4 members of our team on Pathway, could you be the next?

This position will take you into the vibrant, growing city of Southampton. With excellent transport connections to London and the south, it is not uncommon for people to commute from far and wide to be part of such a colourful place. Additionally, there are direct rail links to Birmingham and Manchester as well as an international airport. Not only is the town brimming with fantastic new developments, but it is also perfect for families, as well as playing host to fantastic nightlife.

As an Optometrist in Specsavers Southampton, your client base comes with great variety, range, and plenty of familiar faces of course. In this large, fast-paced store there is never a dull moment.

Our Optometrists provide eye examinations and a contact lens service that meet high clinical standards as well as strict NHS guidelines. Equally, they provide every customer with clear advice and the peace of mind that comes with being in expert hands. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide the same unique blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success. As a professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at ease and welcoming customers with a naturally personable approach. You will talk customers through the eye examination process and talk through their options with them. What’s more, you must be passionate about what you do with an aptitude for organisation – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
