Specsavers in Maidstone are looking for an ambitious Optometrist to join their highly successful and well-established team on a full or part time basis. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the industry and the development of their career both clinically and professionally.
Maidstone first opened its doors in 1992 before relocating its premises in 2016 to the incredible state‑of‑the‑art store they are in today. In October 2023 the store had a further refurbishment meaning you will be joining a store that looks and feels fresh, modern, and new. Maidstone boasts 14 optical test rooms and 2 hearcare rooms all fully equipped with the highest and newest clinical technology including 2 OCTs, Nidek Phoropters in every room as well as the impressive Zeiss Clarus ultra‑widefield camera.
You will join a committed and loyal team of 75 highly skilled optical professionals who work together to ensure our patients receive an excellent experience. Within the team there are experienced Contact Lens Opticians, Dispensing Opticians, trained Optical Assistants as well as Clinical Technicians meaning everyone is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

The directors are leading from the front in terms of progression and will encourage you to advance your career whilst also supporting with 100% of the costs for Professional Certificates in Glaucoma, Medical Retina, and IP.
In addition to this role, we also have a fantastic opportunity within our sister store in Larkfield Sainsbury’s and you would have the option of working between both stores which is what many of our Optometrists currently do. Larkfield opened in 2018, has 3 test rooms which are also equipped with the latest clinical equipment.
