As an Optical Assistant, you’ll use your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team.

Our store is located in Leven, a seaside town in Fife, set in the east Central Lowlands of Scotland on the coast of the Firth of Forth at the mouth of the River Leven. About 8 miles from the town of Kirkcaldy and about 6 miles from Glenrothes, our store is centrally located in the town, surrounded by cafes and coffee shops and just a short stroll from the beach with fantastic transport links.

We have a wonderful team of dedicated people in our store ready and waiting for you to meet.

What we’re looking for

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant. These include:

  • Previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
  • Great teamwork
  • A good initiative
  • Confidence in using IT systems
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new
  • Able to receive feedback and be open to development
