Specsavers in Glenrothes is looking for an Optometrist to join their well-established team on a full or part-time basis. Whether you're newly qualified or have years of experience, they are looking for someone who is passionate about their career and providing exceptional patient care.

Celebrating their 30th birthday last year, Specsavers in Glenrothes is a pillar of the community. You will be joining a highly successful and experienced team, including Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians, Contact Lens Opticians and Optometrists, with colleagues who have worked in the store for over 25 years. The store features six test rooms and the latest clinical equipment including OCT and FARS.

The development opportunities are highlighted by the store partners, who support clinical and professional progression and may fund further education and qualifications such as Independent Prescribing. They also support ambitions to own a store in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Provide optometry services to patients, focusing on high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians and other Optometrists.
  • Utilise clinical equipment (e.g., OCT, FARS) as part of routine assessments.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue relevant qualifications with support from the store.

  • Newly Qualified Optometrist — total package worth up to £50,000 depending on experience.
  • 33 days annual leave plus your birthday off.
