You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Based in Northwest England, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

We have a wonderful dedicated team ready and waiting for you to meet. You’ll be provided with a company car (or allowance) to bring your care directly to people’s homes.

As well as all the support you need and great training and development opportunities, we have a whole load of benefits on offer for you to enjoy. These include:

  • Basic salary up to £65,000 (FTE, depending on experience)
  • Car allowance with all business mileage paid
  • Welcome bonus of £10,000 (pro rata for part-time)
  • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Birthday off
  • Professional fees paid
  • Access to the latest in portable optical equipment
  • Join us for a paid shadow day
  • Accredited Great Place to Work

What we’re looking for?

  • Qualified and GOC registered Optometrist
  • Puts other people first
  • Wants to grow and develop
  • Offers exceptional customer care
  • Great clinical judgement

  • Excellent communicator

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and you must have a full driving license. You’ll also need to be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service, and comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team.

Got all of these? We can’t wait for you to apply! We are also offering a refer a friend incentive where you can receive up to £2,000 worth of shopping vouchers for any Optometrist you recommend that successfully joins Specsavers Home Visits.
