Domiciliary Optical Assistant – Fixed Term Contract (6‑12 months)
Role Overview: As a Domiciliary Optical Assistant at Specsavers you will provide eye‑care services and support to clients at their homes, driving a company vehicle and ensuring high‑quality care while managing patient records and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver optical care to patients in their homes.
- Assist clients with basic tasks that help them carry out daily activities.
- Carry out visual assessments, lens fittings, and dispensing of spectacles or contact lenses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and process prescriptions using company systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and optical standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous optical experience required.
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in a fast‑paced customer‑facing environment.
- Familiarity with optometric software, tablets and laptops.
- Basic knowledge of optical dispensing.
- Confidence in using new systems and technology.
