Location: Hempstead Valley, Kent
Salary: Up to ÂŁ31,000 per annum depending on experience + performance related bonus
Working hours: Full time, 4-day working week with alternate weekends (36.25 hours)
Experience level: This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced Dispensing Opticians who are registered with the GOC.
Joining a state-of-the-art, modern, and bright practice that opened last year, you will have access to the latest clinical technology and equipment. The store features 9 test rooms over 2 floors, with busy clinics including daily Enhanced Optical Services (EOS), and weekly audiology and contact lens clinics.
Dispensing Opticians are key members of the team, often involved in store management. Hempstead Valley offers opportunities for management training, ILM courses, pre-reg supervision, and potentially owning your own Specsavers business, supported by experienced store directors. This pathway aims to develop future store leaders, with some members already progressing to own their stores. Hempstead Valley is part of a group with 3 sister stores—Chatham, Gillingham, and Strood—owned by experienced directors who provide extensive professional and clinical support. Many team members have advanced to become store directors themselves.
