Ready to influence strategic growth by partnering closely with senior leaders across Business Development and Property? As a Finance Business Partner – Business Development, you’ll bring financial insight to life, analysing performance, shaping investment decisions and supporting project proposals, while delivering a reliable, high‑quality service to store partners through accurate and timely cost allocation.
You’ll lead month‑end delivery and reporting end to end, bringing clarity to forecast variances and proposing practical next steps where required. In addition, you’ll manage Store Support and Property subsidy reporting, own departmental budgets and re‑forecasts, and contribute to broader commercial projects.
As part of the Commercial Finance team, you’ll actively share expertise, support store‑level decision‑making and help foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll evaluate business cases and major investment proposals, providing clear and confident recommendations on commercial viability and financial impact.
You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships across the Business Development and Property teams, becoming a trusted go‑to finance partner who can translate complex data into clear, practical insight for non‑financial colleagues. Alongside regular reporting, you’ll deliver ad‑hoc analysis that supports informed, forward‑looking decision‑making.
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a commercial role. You’ll be confident communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, tailoring financial insight for non‑financial audiences. Strong systems capability is essential, particularly advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools while confidently manipulating data.
You’ll have a strong understanding of the key drivers of financial performance and how multiple inputs and metrics come together in robust business case analysis, alongside a proactive, forward‑looking mindset that adds value and drives better outcomes.
