At Specsavers Killingworth, we’re looking for an Experienced Optical Assistant to join our committed and friendly team. The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional store environment. Using your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services, you’ll support our customers through their optical journey while working closely with a supportive and ambitious team.
What’s on Offer?
- Full-time role – 5 days per week, including a weekend day
- Salary: £27,000 (negotiable DOE) + bonus of up to £1,000 per year

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year’s previous optical experience as an Optical Assistant, Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
- Confidence dispensing at all levels
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude
- Confidence using IT systems
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- A willingness to step out of your comfort zone and develop new skills
- Openness to feedback and ongoing development, supported by a team that is genuinely passionate about employee growth and progression
