Our store Specsavers in Aberdare is looking for an ambitious and talented Optometrist to join their thriving store. We are a community‑focused store dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receives an excellent patient experience. We are seeking an Optometrist ready to use their passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever‑growing and loyal customer base. In October 2023, a new contract for the delivery of eye care services in the community came into force in Wales – Wales General Ophthalmic Services (WGOS). Under the new regulations, optometrists will be able to fully utilise their professional higher accreditations when delivering eye care at primary level.

  • Up to £70,000 depending on clinical qualifications
  • Up to £10,000 Golden Hello (terms apply)
  • Full time or part time hours available, between Monday - Sunday
  • Flexible working patterns to suit your lifestyle

We do need you to have a few skills to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date). You’ll also need to be confident and passionate about providing the best customer service and work well as part of a team.
