Job Overview
We are seeking to expand our team with enthusiastic individuals who enjoy outdoor work. We are hiring Climber, Bucket Truck Operators, and Entry-Level Trainees with some experience preferred, though we won’t overlook motivated beginners. Knowledge of professional tree trimming is important. Specialty Tree Service is the perfect place to grow your career if you’re hardworking, dedicated, and eager to learn.
Job Responsibilities
- Selective pruning of trees for optimal health
- Improving building and service line clearances
- Deadwood and hazard removal
- Lateral shaping as needed
- Structural supporting with cable and bracing
- Utilizing advanced climbing techniques and moderate equipment for safe tree movement
- Rope rigging with friction devices to lower branches and wood safely
- Crane rigging when practical
- Operating chainsaws, hand saws, and mechanical pruning tools
- Coordinating with ground crews for teamwork
- Cleaning up and removing tree debris
- Performing additional duties as assigned
- Maintaining regular attendance
- CDL is a plus but not required (regular driver’s license is required)
Desired Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Experience or knowledge in tree care or a similar field/education is preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to stand all day and lift up to 50 pounds
- Preferred strong verbal and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance
