About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Specialty MGA UK as a Marine Claims Adjuster, supporting the effective handling and resolution of marine claims across a diverse and international portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality claims service, ensuring fair outcomes, efficient processes, and strong broker and client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in marine claims, strong technical capability, and the confidence to manage complex matters with professionalism and sound judgement. This role is well‑suited to someone proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to contribute to a growing and dynamic MGA environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and adjust marine claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance with internal and market standards.
- Liaise effectively with brokers, clients, surveyors, and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently.
- Assess coverage, liability, and quantum, producing clear and well‑reasoned recommendations.
- Maintain accurate claims records, documentation, and system updates.
- Support the Director of Claims in delivering a high‑quality claims function.
- Contribute to claims reporting, analytics, and portfolio insights.
- Assist in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance claims performance.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, representing Specialty MGA with professionalism.
- Ensure adherence to Lloyd’s, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.

- Strong experience handling marine claims within the London Insurance Market.
