About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Specialty MGA UK as an Aviation Claims Adjuster, supporting the effective handling and resolution of aviation claims across a diverse and international portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality claims service, ensuring fair outcomes, efficient processes, and strong broker and client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in aviation claims, strong technical capability, and the confidence to manage complex matters with professionalism and sound judgement. This role is well-suited to someone proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a growing and dynamic MGA environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and adjust aviation claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance with internal and market standards.
- Liaise effectively with brokers, clients, loss adjusters, aviation experts, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently.
- Assess coverage, liability, and quantum, producing clear and well-reasoned recommendations.
- Maintain accurate claims records, documentation, and system updates.
- Support the Director of Claims in delivering a high-quality claims function.
- Contribute to claims reporting, analytics, and portfolio insights.
- Assist in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance claims performance.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, representing Specialty MGA with professionalism.
- Ensure adherence to Lloyd's, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong experience handling aviation claims within the London Insurance Market.
- Solid technical understanding of aviation risks, policies, coverage, and claims processes.
- Experience handling claims involving aircraft hull, liability, general aviation, commercial aviation, or aerospace risks is desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, proactive, and confident in decision-making.
