Who are we? The S.F.E. Group, a major player in the manufacturing and distribution of equipment for metal tube processing, is continuing its growth and is looking for its future Financial Controller / Management Controller (M/F) to lead the accounting function and provide accurate reporting to Group Management based in the United States.

As Financial Controller for our French entity, you will play a key role in local financial management and monitoring, while actively contributing to international consolidation. Note: This role is responsible for our France entity (located in the Valence area) but may be based in the UK.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and supporting the local accounting team (2 people).
  • Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements in accordance with local and international standards (IFRS & US GAAP).
  • Preparing, analyzing, and commenting on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Working closely with the International Financial Controller based in Germany.
  • Contributing to the harmonization and continuous improvement of financial processes across S.F.E. Group subsidiaries.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and meeting closing deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance, audit, or financial controlling within an international environment.
  • Proven experience in team management, with the ability to engage, motivate, and support team members.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong hands-on mindset; experience in an industrial environment is a significant asset.
  • Fluent French & English required (spoken and written) – daily working languages.
  • High level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, autonomy, and excellent communication abilities.
