We are looking for a Tech Delivery Manager to lead the smooth, predictable delivery of our Web and Enterprise initiatives. You will be the central coordinator across all our business units such as Trade, The Whisky Exchange website, Whisky.Auction, Shops, and Events - driving clarity, alignment, and progress. This role blends agile delivery, structured intake and prioritisation, cross-functional facilitation, roadmap stewardship, and people leadership. You will also help shape future initiatives and support the CAPEX/OPEX budgeting process for our technology portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Agile Delivery & Team Facilitation: Lead and facilitate all Agile practices (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) for internal and external development teams. Ensure teams work in a consistently Agile way, maintaining clear backlogs, well-defined requirements, and realistic sprint commitments. Promote adaptability, enabling rapid reprioritisation and effective response to fast-moving or changing business needs. Maintain visibility of dependencies, risks, and delivery progress across stakeholders. Remove blockers and maintain delivery momentum to keep work flowing efficiently. Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, feedback, and evolving Agile practices.
  • Intake, Prioritisation & Request Management: Manage inbound work requests for all website and enterprise platforms. Assess clarity and readiness of requirements; raise questions proactively. Prioritise items into upcoming sprints or escalate for in-flight inclusion when urgent. Maintain transparent priorities across product, tech, and the wider business.
  • Cross Functional Alignment & Governance: Facilitate regular cross-stream forums (Tech, TWE, W.A, shops, events, data) to review new requests, align decisions, and share progress. Act as a connector across teams to ensure stable planning, shared understanding, and coordinated delivery.
  • Project & Program Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of initiatives across the web and enterprise estate. Manage scope, timelines, risk, dependencies, and stakeholder communication. Drive discovery for medium and large-scale projects, shaping problem definition and delivery approach.
  • Roadmaps & Portfolio Support: Maintain platform roadmaps across all web and enterprise platforms. Track progress, milestones, and any shifts that impact the broader portfolio. Support budget planning and tracking for Tech (CAPEX + OPEX).
  • People Leadership: Responsible for four team members (BA, QA, UX, ERP Support Analyst). Set direct and provide opportunities for regular 1:1s, using our performance review process, coaching, developing and giving timely feedback to support growth and development. Role model our behaviours and values. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the delivery team. Support resource planning and team structure decisions to ensure capacity aligns with roadmap needs.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Proven experience in agile delivery and business analysis.
  • Experience in leading and developing people.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational abilities with experience running structured intake processes.
  • Comfort working with budgets, reporting cycles, and roadmap planning.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on outcomes and team wellbeing.
  • Retail and e-com/digital experience would be a plus.
  • Agile Delivery qualifications could be an advantage.

Key Stakeholders & Relationships: Relationships and Stakeholders are important and need to be built across the whole business, project dependent.

Key Behaviours:

  • Consumer and Customer Centricity.
  • Grow Diverse Teams.
  • Collaboration.
  • Deliver Results Efficiently.
  • Drive Engagement.
  • Foster Growth Mindset.
