The Whisky Exchange is a world-leading specialist online retailer for whisky and fine and rare spirits. We have three shops in central London, a range of flagship shows and events, and an award-winning curated selection of Old & Rare, own-label and exclusive whiskies and spirits. We have an on-trade team supplying the best bars, restaurants, hotels and luxury retailers in the UK (The Whisky Exchange Trade), and a specialist auction platform (Whisky.Auction). Together as One Team we serve a global community of whisky drinkers, fuelled by an enthusiasm for discovering and collecting.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Support Lead to take ownership of our day-to-day IT operations and support services. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will play a key role in keeping our systems running smoothly and supporting users across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong IT support experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. You will be responsible for managing our infrastructure, supporting users, and working closely with external vendors - all while helping to improve how we deliver IT services. The role is office-based at our HQ in Park Royal, London, and has line management responsibilities for our IT Support Administrator.

Your unique contribution:

  • Lead the IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues across the business
  • Provide hands-on support for our infrastructure - including servers, networks, endpoints, and storage
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and other core business applications
  • Work closely with external IT service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Support upgrades, patching, and general maintenance of IT systems
  • Help maintain business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Keep IT documentation, policies, and training materials up to date

Your blend of talent:

  • Solid experience in IT support or infrastructure roles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Good understanding of networks, servers, and endpoint devices
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users
  • Experience working with external vendors or service providers
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus

Desirable:

  • Experience with VOIP systems
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g. CrowdStrike administration)
  • Cisco/Juniper networking administration
  • Cloudflare or other web firewall admin
  • ERP system support
  • Industry certifications (Microsoft Certified Administrator, ITIL, etc.)
