Join STS Group as our next Construction Director in West London. We are looking for an experienced Construction Director to join our large data centre project near London. This is the opportunity to make your mark from the get-go. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices, and this position will play a major role in the delivery of a key project for us in the UK.

The Opportunity

As our next Construction Director, you’ll work closely with the wider project leadership team to ensure a safe and timely delivery of the project. We require someone with a proven track record in the construction and management of data centre projects, along with the capability to manage teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Duties:

  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of a data centre project, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Drive each of the project performance parameters with respect to quality, time, budget, and client/stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and efficient team culture, setting clear objectives and performance standards for all project teams.
  • Be the primary liaison for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring efficient communication throughout the project.
  • Develop and implement construction processes and standards for the project, ensuring best practices and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure the highest safety standards are achieved, while optimising project delivery and mitigating risks.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and business development for STS Group across the region.

Key Qualifications Needed:

  • 10+ years in construction management, with at least 5 years spent delivering data centre construction (or similar) projects.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of MEP systems, infrastructure, and security requirements for large mission-critical projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Desired but not Required:

  • PMP, LEED, or similar training.
