Specialist Sports Group is a well-established and expanding sporting goods agency offering Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Creative solutions to performance sports brands including world leading brand adidas. Specialist Sports is based on the western edge of Southampton, England. Specialist Sports have distribution responsibility for 12 product categories across the UK, Ireland, Europe and several other territories around the world. The category portfolio includes Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Tennis, Track & Field, Olympic Sports and Teamwear featuring a range of products used by many of the world’s best athletes and grassroots enthusiasts. Specialist Sports are custodians of the adidas brand in these categories and hold Sports Marketing contracts with relevant Governing Bodies, leading clubs, and athletes. Additionally, sister company Specialist Sports Creation holds the global license to manufacture adidas apparel, accessories and hardgoods across a number of categories including Hockey, Rugby and Cricket in support of the wider commercial strategy.
THE ROLE
- Act as primary contact for the internal sales team managers across the UK & EU to assist with queries and administrative support.
- Work with the commercial team to create and share sales and purchase orders with factories according to designated timelines.
- Communicate with factories to understand production lead times and provide accurate information to internal and external customers.
- Communicate with the finance team around payment requirements for external customers and factories.
- Check product details are correctly managed in systems and support the commercial team with timely and accurate handover of information.
- Create and amend orders, including order processing and releasing.
- Proactively review orderbooks with sales team to ensure efficient order release and cleansing of unrequired orders.
- Coordinate athlete sponsorship set-up by liaising with sales managers on strategy, packages, and the database.
- Create clearance packages as required.
- Build and maintain strong professional internal and external relationships.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a sales support role (preferable).
- Previous experience in a customer service role (preferable).
- Professional and proactive.
- An ability to communicate effectively with numerous sales managers and external stakeholders.
- A team player and self-starter.
