As part of our continued growth, we are seeking compassionate, professional Complex Care Support Workers to join our team in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a person with complex care needs across adult services.
- Manage risk-taking behaviours with a calm, empathetic approach, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of people.
- Promote independence and support participation in daily activities and routines.
- Assist with activities in line with personalised care plans.
- Maintain professional boundaries and build trusting relationships with service users and their families.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues to deliver coordinated care.
- Keep accurate records, including care plans, incident reports, and daily notes.
- Commit to ongoing training and development, adhering to best practice standards in the health and social care sector.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience supporting individuals with complex care needs within adult services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as required.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments, and health and safety protocols.
- Ability to safety manage high risk-taking behaviour.
Desirable:
- Understanding of frameworks, particularly GIRFE (Getting It Right for Everyone).
- Experience of working with individuals with trauma histories, attachment difficulties, autism, and/or personality disorders.
- SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards qualification).
- Full UK driving licence.
