We're recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 1 year maternity cover, based in Chessington with hybrid working (3 days in the office).
What you'll be doing:
- Daily accounting tasks, including sales and purchase ledger
- Liaising with the Finance Manager to keep month-end tasks on track
- Collating supplier payments and processing them into HSBC for authorisation
- Keeping bank payments and receipts up to date
- Reconciling bank statements, including month-end
- Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end close - posting journals and preparing reconciliations
- Supporting other team members to help meet accuracy and reporting deadlines
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good IT skills and confidence picking up new systems
- A team player with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Solid all-round accounts knowledge
- Advanced proficiency with Sage 50
