Role Objective
Undertaking accounting and audit work delegated by the Manager, preparing working papers, administrative tasks, and other duties as required.
Summary of Key Areas/Main Duties
Financial Accounting
- Recording financial transactions
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, profit, and cash flow forecasts
Auditing
- Participating in company and external audits, including:
- Preparing and recording audit work
- Gathering audit evidence
- Reviewing financial statements under supervision
Taxation
- Handling PAYE, NIC, and VAT processes, including:
- Analyzing income, expenditure, and relevant data
- Assisting with preparing returns and administering taxes
- Supporting fiscal valuations
Client Liaison
- Assisting with audit procedures at client sites
- Communicating with client staff
Administrative Duties
- Drafting correspondence
- Maintaining files
Other
- Performing any other duties reasonably required
Salaries:
- Apprenticeship AAT: £18-19k plus discretionary bonus in the first year (salary increases after year 1)
- Apprenticeship ACA: £19.5-21k plus discretionary bonus in the first year (salary increases after year 1)
