They are seeking an enthusiastic A-Level student or university graduate eager to pursue an AAT/ACA apprenticeship.

Dorking, Surrey (office-based)

Hours

9-5pm

Role Objective

Undertaking accounting and audit work delegated by the Manager, preparing working papers, administrative tasks, and other duties as required.

Summary of Key Areas/Main Duties

Financial Accounting

  • Recording financial transactions
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, profit, and cash flow forecasts

Auditing

  • Participating in company and external audits, including:
  • Preparing and recording audit work
  • Gathering audit evidence
  • Reviewing financial statements under supervision

Taxation

  • Handling PAYE, NIC, and VAT processes, including:
  • Analyzing income, expenditure, and relevant data
  • Assisting with preparing returns and administering taxes
  • Supporting fiscal valuations

Client Liaison

  • Assisting with audit procedures at client sites
  • Communicating with client staff

Administrative Duties

  • Drafting correspondence
  • Maintaining files

Other

  • Performing any other duties reasonably required

Salaries:

  • Apprenticeship AAT: Β£18-19k plus discretionary bonus in the first year (salary increases after year 1)
  • Apprenticeship ACA: Β£19.5-21k plus discretionary bonus in the first year (salary increases after year 1)
