We have an opportunity to join our Vehicle Presentation Team (VPT) (Cleaning Team) as a Working Supervisor at our Ipswich depot. The position is a 39‑hour contract starting at 3pm, five days a week, with pay of £15.10 per hour. You will supervise the VPT team, managing rotas and task allocation to ensure the quality of cleanliness of the PCV vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the VPT team, supervising all operational activities.
- Actively champion health & safety and security guidelines, ensuring all employees comply with expected standards.
- Identify and resolve daily cleanliness concerns.
- Ensure the VPT team members undertake the daily safety message.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the fleet to the highest standard, ensuring all cleaning and associated work is completed within the specified period.
- Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn in relevant areas.
- Maintain accurate and concise records of vehicle cleans and take active steps to target under‑performing areas.
- Work in a clean and tidy manner, ensuring debris is not left for others and equipment is stored properly after each shift.
- Follow COSHH guidelines when using cleaning materials and chemicals.
- Ensure health, safety, security, welfare and environmental arrangements for yourself, customers and colleagues, including attendance at safety briefings and training as required.
- Report all accidents/incidents using the company’s reporting procedure.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience working flexible hours.
- Ability to clean in smaller spaces—between seats on the bus, etc.
- Driving licence and own vehicle to get to work due to working hours.
- Supervisory experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Health & Safety knowledge.
- CSCS/CITB/CCNSG certification.
- COSHH certification.
- First Aid qualification.
