At Specialist Passenger Solutions (SPS) we are dedicated to providing the perfect journey. SPS is a division of First Bus and serves the passenger transport needs of the EDF Nuclear Project at Hinkley Point C as well as Sizewell C. This position is a Cleaner on the VPT fleet in our Ipswich depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the fleet to the highest standard by ensuring that all cleaning and associated work is completed within the specified period.
  • Ensure passengers’ expectations of cleanliness are exceeded and they feel safe while travelling on our vehicles.
  • Follow health & safety and security guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn in appropriate areas.
  • Minimise wastage by ensuring the correct use and safe storage of all materials and equipment.
  • Ensure that cleaning schedules/programmes are not adversely affected and report lost, defective or inoperative equipment immediately to your supervisor.
  • Work in a clean and tidy environment, keeping the workspace free of debris and storing equipment properly after each shift.
  • Follow COSHH guidelines when using cleaning materials and chemicals.
  • Ensure the health, safety, security, welfare and environmental arrangements for yourself, customers and colleagues are upheld, including attending safety briefings and training and knowing emergency evacuation plans.
  • Report all accidents/incidents using the Company's reporting procedure.

Essential

  • Experience working flexible hours.
  • Valid driving licence and own vehicle to get to work due to working hours.

Desirable

  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Health & Safety knowledge.
  • CSCS/CITB/CCNSG qualification.
  • CosHH certification.
  • First Aid certification.
